Sweet Peas Preschool is a progressive preschool, ages Infant through 12 years, centered on Natural Science. We teach the children using a creative hands-on curriculum. Along with a classroom pet program, we have hatched chickens and are watching them grow and lay their own eggs in our coop! Gardening, the importance of composting, and recycling are also taught. Sweet Peas Preschool has an opening for a creative, energetic individual who is excited to work with children. This position is part time with flexible hours. The substitute teacher would cover preplanned time off for our teachers and would be available on call for unplanned coverage. Must be comfortable and have experience with a variety of age groups. The right individual will be punctual, dedicated and have a passion for children and education. All employees must have a full background check completed. The ideal candidate will have this background check already on file.

Responsibilities:

• Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom.
• Encourage children to express themselves through creative activities.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
