Sweet Home Central School District is Hiring a Health Assistant Near Amherst, NY
- Evaluate and attend to student and staff health needs, including the ability to check vital signs and operate general and specialized medical equipment when needed;
- Administers first aid to students and staff, as needed;
- Maintain health records and state-mandated immunizations, exams, and screenings;
- Dispense medication and monitor the health conditions of students with medical conditions;
- Communicate with school nurses, staff, parents, and physician offices regarding student health needs; and
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Registered School Nurse must be a professional nurse registered in the State of New York. Possession of the license must be available at the time of appointment. Must be AED & CPR certified.
