We are looking for friendly, positive and engaging bartenders, in both part-time and full-time positions, for a new bar and event venue. A hospitality driven professional with good communication skills to greet customers, provide drink recommendations and prepare and serve beer, mixed drinks, wine and classic cocktails.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides a great customer service experience to all guests.
• Mixes and serves drinks for guests in the bar as they are ordered.
• Communicates information regarding guest requests, out-of-stock items, and new products to all employees and managers.
• Checking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol.
• Taking inventory and ordering supplies to ensure bar and tables are well-stocked.
• Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register.
• Maintaining a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment.
• Follows all national, state, and local safety, health, and sanitation guidelines as specified by the restaurant. Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.
• Performs additional responsibilities, as requested by a manager.
• Ability to operate the POS systems upon training.
• Reliable and reports to work on time as indicated on the work schedule.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of beer, spirits, and wine, their production, origination, and diversity, and proper serving technique.
• High school diploma or equivariant and at least 2 years of experience in a bar.
• Basic math skills and cash handling procedures.
• Knowledge and understanding of local, state, and federal laws and regulations regarding the responsible sale of alcohol.
• Will regularly stand, walk, talk, carry, bend, stoop, turn and lift in excess of fifty (50) pounds.

Sweet Harmony is a new and unique bar and event venue in a former warehouse in the heart of downtown Canal Winchester, Ohio, just steps from the historic district. The bright and welcoming space is a modern setting mixed with vintage style and serves as a comfortable gathering space for the local community and guests from afar.
