SwedishAmerican / A Division of UW Health is Hiring a Medical Education Coordinator Near Rockford, IL
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for all aspects of Swedish American’s Continuing Medical Education Program under the direction of the Swedish AmericanHospital Medical Education Committee and the Director of Medical Affairs and Education.Coordinates the UIC Family Practice Residency Internal Medicine clerkship rotations and functions as a hospital liaison to the UIC College of Medicine in matters regarding medical student clinical rotations at Swedish American.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Associates degree or higher education preferred.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Three to five years of experience in medical education, academic or medical staff services liaison/coordinator position. Medical terminology required. Strong organization, prioritization and time management skills required. Learn and maintain knowledge of IllinoisState Medical Society (ISMS) and AmericanCollege of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accreditation regulations. Successful completion of annual job specific competencies and skill verification tools required. Ability to effectively interact and communicate orally and in writing with medical staff members, administrators and all levels of staff within organization and community.
