POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the overall management of the department credentialing software and provider dictionary of the health system, including maintaining the systems with current data pertaining to the medical staff and all privileged providers within Swedish American Health System including data integrity. Provides direct support to all department members and serves as a liaison of this department to IS for software and reports pertaining to all privileged providers, and all internal and external customers requesting data provided within our system. Provides routine audits of data to ensure integrity. Primary contact for information related to medical staff and privileged providers.

EDUCATION/TRAINING:

Formal education in computer or Applied Science courses preferred. Three to five years of experience and knowledge of medical staff services/credentialing and health care software systems.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Previous experience with software and hardware related to health system functionality. Proficiency in a variety of computer system and database management including report writing. Ability to work independently and communicate effectively, orally and written with a variety of individuals, including all medical staff members/leaders, corporate employees and health system leaders. Must be detail oriented and have strong analytical skills. Ability to address changing priorities, high volumes and adapt quickly to change and strong project management skills.
