POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direct supervision of a Physician or RN, assists in providing patient care and performs selected treatments and procedures. Updates RN with timely information regarding status of patient in compliance with Patient Services Department policy and other regulatory agency requirements. Participates in continuous quality improvement activities and educational experiences in support of departmental and divisional nursing philosophy and objectives, as well as, Health System initiatives. 

EDUCATION/TRAINING:

High school graduate. Must provide copy of diploma/degree for highest level of education obtained.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

Certification as a Nursing Assistant. Basic EKG and/or Phlebotomy preferred. Bi-annual CPR certification required. ACLS certification within one year of hire.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Successful completion of annual clinical, age and job specific competencies and skill verification tools required. Good interpersonal, organizational and critical decision-making skills required. Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing. Computer experience helpful. Basic arithmetic skills required.
