Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and support to our clients and their pets. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Duties:
- Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly demeanor
- Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment book
- Answer phone calls on multiple phone lines, and respond to inquiries
- Check-in and check-out clients, ensuring accurate record-keeping and discharge instructions
- Collect payments for services rendered
- Assist with filing and maintaining patient records
- Provide general administrative support to the veterinary team
- Cleaning/organizing and kennel duties as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal-related field is preferred
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures is a plus
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with veterinary software systems

- Animal husbandry
- Aseptic technique
- Kennel management
- Dog handling
- Laboratory procedures
- Veterinary terminology
- Animal handling and restraint techniques
- Animal care knowledge, including nutrition and basic health care
