Swank Early Skills Development is Hiring a Behavior Health Technician (BHT) Near Lancaster, PA

Seeking Behavior Health Technicians to provide Applied Behavior Analysis Intervention to children.

Develop a service-based career path providing intervention and support for children who have Autism, Communication Delays, and Developmental Delays.

  • Free clinical training in Applied Behavior Analysis.
  • ABA Fieldwork Supervision available for those pursuing their BCBA or BCaBA.
  • Part-time positions providing 25 or more client service hours per week.
  • No Evenings or Weekends: Client Services are provided Monday – Friday between the hours of 8am and 5pm.
  • Travel reimbursement includes paid travel time and mileage reimbursement at the IRS rate.

  • Serve children in our Lancaster Center, client homes, and client community settings such as preschool, daycare, and elementary schools during typical weekday business hours.

We Offer

  • Client service hours provided Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8am - 5pm.
  • No evenings or weekends.
  • Part-Time client billable hours assigned based on your consistent availability: from 25 - 30 hours per week with opportunities to pursue FT positions when they become available.

  • Work with children primarily between 18 months and 8 years of age; Early Intervention through transition into Elementary School Programs.
  • The focus of our ABA therapy/ intervention is skills development.
  • We provide on-going skills training and support to increase ABA clinical skills.
  • Partnership with York College – Swank ESD employees can receive up to a 15% tuition discount when pursuing Graduate and Professional programs and certification in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and other professional areas.
  • Fieldwork supervision provided to employees who pursue a degree in Applied Behavior Analysis.

  • Recent or Soon-to-Be College Grads
  • Stay-at-Home parents or caregivers who want to start working part-time

Summary of RBT Role & Responsibilities

  • Provides direct, one-to-one ABA Intervention to clients as is developed, trained, and supervised by assigned Masters Level Clinicians.
  • Collects data to document client progress and services provided, obtains parent/caregiver signatures and other relevant documentation.
  • Participates in ABA Training and Supervision sessions required by IBHS regulations and provided by supervising Masters Level Clinicians.
  • Follows policies and procedures of Swank ESD, contractual guidelines and maintains HIPAA standards.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalence
  • One year experience working with children
  • Able to lift up to 20 lbs and be able to move freely from floor to standing and back again
  • Three (3) positive professional references from current or previous employers, including at least one from a direct supervisor
  • Background clearances as required by the PA Dept. of Human Services 
  • Clear TB Test - valid within 3 years

Additional Preferred Qualifications which will be considered in offer of starting hourly rate:

  • Hold Bachelor's degree in ABA or related field
  • Hold current credential as Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in good standing
  • Hold proof of having successfully completed IBHS required RBT coursework
  • Have experience working as an RBT or BHT-ABA
  • Demonstrate Basic to Advanced levels of competency in ABA during the interview process
