Swan Lake Resort is Hiring a Restaurant Server Near Plymouth, IN

The Restaurant Server is responsible for meeting and exceeding the expectations of all guests by providing friendly, attentive and timely service to create an exceptional experience. A server is responsible primarily for taking orders, serving food and beverages to guests and removing dinnerware from the table in a timely manner.

DUTIES

Service oriented personality able to speak clearly and communicate with ability to listen to and understand information through spoken words and sentences. Answer in-coming calls, take reservations and answer questions.Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.Must be able to carry a tray with multiple dinners, set tables, chairs and rearrange furniture.Dependably come to scheduled work shift in a positive state of mind meeting dress and grooming standards for a professional appearance. Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.Serve individual plates of food and/or beverages to guests in a professional manner. Securely transport food from main kitchen to dining areas either on trays or in warming containers. Assist bussing staff in removing dishes and glasses from tables or counters, and take them to kitchen for cleaning. Monitor tableware to ensure it is presentable to guests. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas.Check with guests to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems. Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change (if applicable). Safety, Health and Loss Control KPI: 100% Follow all standard operating procedures and service requirementsKPI: Complete all company required training.Be familiar with the Employee Handbook and Safety Policies. Maintain a clean and sanitary work area to prevent food borne illness.Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications.Other Duties/Responsibilities KPI: Provide a smile and WOW! experience for all guests 100% of the time. KPI: Create your own personal signature that makes guests feel special while reflecting your warmth, personality and style. Willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges while being careful about detail and thoroughness in work tasks. Present honest work ethic. Assist peers when needed or requested. Flexible to changes. Psychological Considerations Difficult situations may present a challenge in keeping emotions in check, controlling anger and avoiding aggressive behavior. Job requires being pleasant with others on the job and displaying a good-natured, cooperative attitude.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma (or equivalent)1-2 years of serving experience preferredSuperior customer service skillsProfessional, warm demeanor - service oriented attitudeDemonstrated ability to multi-task and work well under pressureMust be able to follow directions and perform responsibilities as described. Good communication, problem-solving and organizational skills and ability to follow directions using good safety awareness and sound judgment. Restaurant is open holidays and weekends, so candidates who will be considered must have flexible availability. Ability to stand for long periods of time - bend, kneel, lift and pull continuously throughout a shift, lift up to 50lbs.Must possess the ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position delivering or bussing food selections. Must be able to use abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without fatiguing. Hours:Hours vary between days, evenings, weekends and holidays10-32 hours per week
