Veterinary Assistant - Work with Exotics!

Since our inception in 1957, our team of skilled and compassionate individuals has focused on providing the best veterinary care for dogs, cats, and exotic pets (40% of our caseload!). Our standout diagnostic capabilities include in-house lab with AI technology, new ultrasound, and digital x-ray with a focus on advanced rabbit dentistry.

We are seeking a part-timeVeterinary Assistantto join our team. Must be flexible to work a combination of 2-10 hours shifts during the week as well as Saturdays (8a-2p). This position may grow into a full-time position based on the needs of the hospital.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Our veterinary assistants support our RVTs and veterinarians by performing basic medical, diagnostic, and laboratory procedures.

Skills/Qualifications:

• 1 year or more of veterinary assistant experience required.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Familiarity with radiology positioning, animal handling/restraint.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude and stay calm under pressure.
• Compassionate, dependable and detail-oriented.
• Honest, energetic, and accountable.
• Desire to improve professionally and personally.
• Prioritize and execute multiple requests/tasks simultaneously.
• AVImark Veterinary Software knowledge is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
