Compensation: Base plus Commission

The Position:

Solar sales representative to engage with prospective customers through setting up a booth at local events and walking door-to-door. Educate prospects on the benefits of solar and energy efficiency, input their information into the company database, and schedule appointments for assessments and proposals. Follow up with customers over phone/email as necessary, and work alongside the sales and marketing director to help reach sales and customer outreach goals.

Requirements:

• Reliable transportation
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Flexible schedule including weekends
• Smart phone
• Experience in customer service, highly preferred
• Positive attitude, highly motivated and goal driven with a proven track record
• Team player who listens, learns, and actively communicates
• Comfortable working outdoors and walking through neighborhoods, knocking doors and talking with homeowners
• Desire to learn solar PV systems and energy efficiency
• Self-drive and initiative is highly required
• Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities

Responsibilities:

• Attend home shows, conferences, and local events by setting up booth and speaking with prospective homeowners
• Research and add to events list to attend
• Conduct door-to-door visits to engage with potential customers or supporters
• Market and promote our products, services, or fundraising campaigns
• Communicate effectively to build rapport and establish trust with individuals
• Provide information about our organization, products, or campaign goals
• Answer questions and address concerns from potential customers
• Maintain accurate records of interactions and outcomes

The Location: Sustainergy is based in Cincinnati, OH, (4 min from downtown) one of the greenest and most affordable cities in the country.

* Free college for worker and family through local colleges and associates after 90 days of employment.

** Ownership in the business after 6 months of continuous employment.
