Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Front Desk Person that can work independently to join our team. This person should be able to see a task needs doing and follows through.The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and administrative support at the front desk.
Duties:
- Greet and assist visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls promptly and efficiently 8 am - 4 pm M - Thurs; 8am - 12pm Fri. Employee must be in office during those hours.
-Perform reminder calls to patients for upcoming appointments/missed appointments
-The pay for this position is flexible and bonuses are available. If the office does well, employees should benefit .
- Employees receive 1/2 hour for lunch when phones may not be answered.
- Enter/Schedule new and existing patients into E-Clinical software and mail/email forms to patients to fill out for first visit. This includes scheduling office and hospital surgeries. Also ensure patients complete surgery packets/understand and sign surgery orders.
- Maintain office and doctor calendar and keep updated
- Call in patient's prescriptions per doctor's orders. Be sure to scan all into patient's chart
- Process patient registrations, make copies of insurance cards and enter into patients computer chart.
-Checkout patients at end of visit and collect any co-pays/past due amounts
-Verify insurance information/balances due/co-pays/deductibles not met/ via insurance portals
-Perform pre-authorizations prior to scheduling surgeries, etc. All forms should be scanned into patient's chart. If any denials for pre-authorizations, follow up with administrative personnel.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide accurate information
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a front desk or customer service role
-Must be able to type and use Microsoft Word and Excel
- Knowledge of medical administrative support or experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
- Familiarity with administrative tasks and basic office procedures
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
- Experience with electronic medical records systems like E-clinical is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to multitask effectively
