Surgery Specialty Hospitals of America is Hiring a Patient Access Liaison Near Pasadena, TX

Patient Access Liaison! In this role, you'll be the friendly face that greets visitors and registers patients, ensuring everyone receives a warm welcome and seamless check-in experience. You'll also play a crucial role in promptly responding to switchboard and telephone calls, ensuring efficient communication within our facility. Additionally, you'll be responsible for monitoring our alarm systems, including Code Blue and Fire alarms, to ensure the safety of our patients and staff. As a Patient Access Liaison, you'll be at the forefront of patient care, assisting with registrations and inquiries. Your attention to detail and dedication to customer service will be key in providing exceptional care to all who enter our doors.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

· High School Diploma or equivalent GED

Experience and Qualifications:

· Minimum of 1-year experience in a medically related environment preferred.

· Prior PBX or switchboard operations experience preferred.

· Basic typing/word processing skills.

· Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills

Licenses/Certificates:

· None

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

· Answers calls coming into the switchboard system and appropriately transfers calls or responds to requests from callers as able. Functions as “medical receptionist” for the hospital for all visitors who access the hospital lobby area.

· Registering patients.

The physical demands and work environment described herein is representative of those that generally must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:

  • Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to fulfill positions requirements and responsibilities.
  • This position primarily involves standing, walking, twisting, reaching, bending/stooping, pushing, pulling and lifting to transfer patients on a daily basis.
  • This position requires using arm, leg and back muscles frequently and for extended periods of time, and additionally involves both hands and legs regularly.
  • This position requires regular work with equipment and movable parts.
  • This position requires work with hands in water and occasionally with or near chemicals.
  • Must be able to continuously deal effectively with stress created by residents, multiple tasks, noises, interruptions, and work cooperatively as part of the health care team while maintain a pleasant attitude.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
