Responsibilities:
Revenue Cycle Coordination:
  • Act as a strategic liaison between third-party revenue cycle companies and Surgeons Choice, fostering and supporting effective relationships.
  • Evaluate, quantify, and propel the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs) in the revenue cycle to ensure success.
  • Investigate and drive resolution for reoccurring claim denials, rejections, and discrepancies.
  • Serve as a project manager/technical business lead for special projects a requested to drive process improvement and innovation within the revenue cycle.
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement in revenue cycle operations, identifying actionable trends, and enhancing revenue generation and collection processes through innovative strategies.
  • Participate in various organizational committees relevant to revenue cycle as assigned.

Contract Management & Credentialling:

  • Diligently manage the Contract Manager queue, promptly identifying and addressing any discrepancies in insurance payment amounts. Foster proactive coordination and communication with both internal teams and external stakeholders to swiftly resolve any issues that arise.
  • Fulfill the crucial role of web access administrator for government and payer portals, ensuring seamless access and efficient navigation for relevant personnel.
  • Establish and maintain a well-organized system for documenting credentialing, insurance contracts, contact information, and fee schedules, facilitating streamlined access to critical information.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all communications with payers, fostering clear and effective dialogue to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Take charge of ensuring proper setup with payers and adhere to deadlines for timely facility credentialing and re-credentialing. Lead the charge in promptly resolving any credentialing issues that may arise, maintaining compliance and operational efficiency.

Compliance, Policies, Procedures, and Education:

  • Responsible for initiating and maintaining PLE/Pricing Transparency requirements
  • Stay at the forefront of healthcare regulatory changes and compliance, encompassing Medicare, Medicaid, commercial and private payer. Participates in reading and understanding the contents of communication memos, webinars, calls, and related materials to support greater knowledge and understanding of requirements related to the revenue cycle.
  • Under the direction and support of management, develop, maintain and deploy policies and procedures to ensure revenue cycle operations:
    • Promotes efficiency and accuracy
    • Optimizes patient collection, minimizes bad debt, and foster financial health for patients and Surgeons Choice
    • Meets compliance, legislative requirements, HIPAA regulations and other lawful practices
  • Serve as an influential educator by conducting comprehensive training sessions for staff members on revenue cycle processes, procedures, policies and best practices.
Requirements: 
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in revenue cycle management, process improvement or project management.
  • Proficiency in data analysis using Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in medical billing and reimbursement preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, payer policies, and reimbursement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all organizational levels.
  • Knowledge of medical billing and reimbursement preferred.
  • Ability to access and fully use the electronic accounting and reporting systems used by Surgeons Choice.
Work Environment:
  • Office-based work environment with hybrid option.
  • Collaborative work with a dedicated finance team.
  • Occasional travel within the organization.
  • Regular use of the computer.
  • Subject to frequent interruptions.
  • Willingness to work beyond normal working hours when necessary.
