Responsibilities:
- Performs instructional tasks in classrooms to assist teaching staff
- Assists in the implementation and integration of the compliance mandates by planning developmentally appropriate activities within the learning environment
- Provides on-site supervision and child development services to at-risk children enrolled in a child enrolled in a child care program
- Integrating competencies, goals and objectives into lesson plans
- Monitoring children’s interactions to nurture cooperation and sharing
- Keeps the learning environment clean and orderly by picking up learning materials, wiping tables and chairs, etc.
- Attends staff meetings, school programs, and in-service training
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field preferred
- Recent teaching experience a plus
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, coworkers and parents or guardians
- Creative and artistic abilities
- Planning and organizational skills
- Time management skills and the ability to multitask
- Patience and flexibility
