The Court Monitor Staff reports directly to the Team Leader or GM of Surge Adventure Park.
Court Monitors have the most interactive and dynamic roles in all of Surge! This role is exciting, fun, and rewarding. As a Court Monitor you are far more than a "Lifeguard" stuck off to the side observing and engaging only when someone breaks a rule or requires aid. You are part of the Surge high-energy atmosphere! You remind guests of the rules on the courts and actively contribute to the experience of our Guests. As a Surge Court Monitor you have an incredible responsibility that includes having a consistent watchful eye on the attraction you have been assigned, while making sure everyone is having fun.
Court Monitors are expected to:
• Maintain the safety of patrons in and around the jumping surfaces and foam pits.
• Represent Surge Adventure Park by maintaining a professional attitude in keeping with the park’s philosophy.
• Communicate and enforce all park regulations and jumping rules in a personable and professional manner.
• Communicate any potentially dangerous elements of the facility to the Team Leader or GM of Surge Adventure Park.
• Attend ALL scheduled staff meetings.
• Participate in and help facilitate staff training.
• If unable to work, find a substitute and complete the substitution form.
• Perform patron surveillance with a whistler from the pre-set surveillance area.
• Remain alert and use all senses while court monitoring.
• Work as a team with other court monitors during special events.
• Record equipment inspections
• Complete the trampoline safety checklist at the beginning of each day, and report problems to the supervisor.
• Set up trampoline stations for various activities such as aerobics classes, dodge ball, etc.
• Respond to an emergency and activate EMS when necessary.
• Handle all incidents in a manner appropriate to your training. First Aid is to be administered by the Facility Supervisor UNLESS it is LIFE THREATENING. Never give anyone medication. Recommend that all injured patrons seek professional medical attention.

o Do NOT discuss ANY injuries or medical treatment with anyone on or off duty. This is a HIPPA violation and immediately makes you liable.
• Assist the Park Management Team in keeping the Community informed of part activities
• Perform other duties as assigned.
