SURESTAFF is hiring a temporary Prepress Graphics Specialist in Romeoville, IL. The Prepress Graphics Specialist is responsible for all horticulture prepress and graphic designs for all custom picture tags and labels before submission to customers and or print vendors.

This temporary role offers a competitive compensation of $25-$30 / HR as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Available shift :

Monday - Friday

8 : 00AM - 5 : 00PM

Duties & Responsibilities of the Prepress Graphics Specialist :

• Conceptualize and provide graphic design for industry catalog and customers.
• Understanding and working knowledge of the horticulture industry and how it applies to the company.
• Knowledge of printing processes including design, prepress, printing (sheet fed) for traditional lithography and digital printing processes.
• Responsible for creation of documentation for labels and tags. Documentation includes digital proofs and specification sheets created using Adobe Illustrator.
• Highly proficient with Macintosh computers and relevant industry software i.e. Adobe Creative Suites, Quark-X-Press, Adobe Illustrator, PhotoShop, Adobe Acrobat, FileMaker.
• Proficient with PC computers and applications pertinent to web applications in e-collateral production i.e. Internet Explorer, Adobe Acrobat and other web development tools.
• Be self-motivated, detail-oriented, focus on technology and have strong communication and organizational skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with ability to work independently.
• Ability to interact with customers and various departments and levels of personnel.
• Consistent follow-up on production activity; telephone & written to Account Services Manager
• Demonstrated flexibility and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to innovate.

Required Qualifications of the Prepress Graphics Specialist :

• 5 years of print production or equivalent work related experience.
• BA in Graphic Arts, Print Production or a Vocational Degree in Graphic Arts is required.
• Proficient in Quark, Photoshop, Acrobat, InDesign and Illustrator. Working knowledge of Excel and Word.
• Working knowledge of printing processes, preparing eps or PDF’s for print, as well as technical requirements required in preflighting files for output.
