SURESTAFF is Hiring a Controls Engineer- Nights Near Chicago, IL
Career Direct Hire opportunities in Chicago, IL for Controls Engineer (Nights) to work for a Michigan-based family of automotive companies delivering operational excellence, high-quality execution, and customer service. They offer 100% vertical integration capabilities such as end-to-end engineering, manufacturing, and in-house logistics. They manufacture propulsion-agnostic structural automotive components and assemblies around the globe. Direct hire opportunities on day and night shifts at a union facility (over 500,000 sq ft).
This full-time, salary, role is a part of our Engineering Team and reports to the Engineering Manager.
Salary- 90-120K (Based on Quality of the Interview in relation to Job Description)
Schedule- Sunday-Thursday 6pm-4:30am

3. Coordinate resources to find root cause and fixes, manage and breakdown problems into items that can be validated.
4. Maintain PLC based control systems for manufacturing automation and instrumentation.
5. Guide designs, develop and test electrical control methods, materials, processes, and results.
6. Lead projects and assist skilled trades in electrical disciplines.
7. Support operations in electrical/controls troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities.

Required experience:
1. Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, controls or automation engineering. Master's Degree is a plus. Open for equivalent years of experience.
2. Electrical background (electrician or technician) preferred.
3. Experienced with Vision System
4. Working knowledge of PLC/CNC (Siemens/Allen-Bradley), ABB and FANUC Robots.
5. Lean Manufacturing experience
6. Excellent "hands on" electrical/mechanical aptitude
7. Experience working with electrical/controls circuitry and schematics.
8. Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
9. Ability to read and write in English and to perform mathematical calculations.
