Mission of the Role (What you’ll be doing):

We are seeking a highly motivated Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join our team and focus on supporting a key national accounts. This role will be instrumental in driving vendor management strategies, optimizing costs, and ensuring the highest quality of products for our valued customers.

Key Duties & Accountabilities (Primary responsibilities & quantifiable measurements):

Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for the national account, aligning with company objectives and customer requirements.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors to drive collaboration and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry innovations to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Negotiate and manage agreements, ensuring terms are favorable, and compliance is maintained.
Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations, addressing any issues and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, operations, and customer service teams to ensure seamless execution of customer orders and projects.
Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels for customer demand while minimizing excess inventory costs.
Stay informed about industry regulations, market dynamics, and emerging trends that may impact the sourcing strategy.
Prepare and present reports and analyses to support decision-making processes related to sourcing and vendor management.

Qualifications

Qualifications (What you’ll need to be successful):

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in vendor management, strategic sourcing, or related roles.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills to effectively collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders.
Proven track record of implementing successful vendor management strategies that have resulted in cost savings and process improvements.
Proficiency in using sourcing and procurement software/tools is a plus.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in vendor interactions and contract management.
