Description

Mission of the RoleThe Production Planner contributes to a high-quality customer experience by ensuring the reliability and accuracy of production orders daily. In this role, the production planner will work closely with the manufacturing team to analyze and address manpower and equipment needs based on current demand. The production planner is also responsible for daily updates on machine time and orders with the management team. The production planner will plan for all SupplyOne Florida manufacturing locations. Ability to learn multiple ERP Systems.

Key Duties & Accountabilities

  • Coordinate and schedule production workflow for all manufacturing plants across SupplyOne Florida.
  • Continuously determine manpower and equipment needs based on seasonality of orders.
  • Monitor orders to ensure they are completed within scope and on time.
  • Analyze monthly output on all machines and review production efficiency.
  • Communicate daily with manufacturing plants on orders being produced for stock and sold customer orders.
  • Order materials necessary for production (corrugated sheets, ink, strapping, etc.)
  • Maintain orderly workflow based on business and customer priorities.

Essential Functions (Essential/secondary functions that support the primary responsibilities)

  • Expedite material based on customer’s needs.
  • Serve as liaison with customer service, sales, design, manufacturing and shipping.
  • Identify and resolve problems relating to inventory levels.
  • Ensure quality of manufactured products.
  • Have sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Holds daily production meetings with the plant manager, shipping manager, and customer service manager.

Educational/Training Requirements/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Production planner experience preferred
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing principles

Minimum Skills, Knowledge & Ability Requirements

  • Strong Organizational and communication skills; ability to prioritize tasks
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient in Excel, pivot table and ability to manipulate data
  • Basic arithmetic including gross profit calculation
