Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for the following:

Responsibilities:

Supervision, Assistance, and Teamwork – 30%

• Supervision of the Quality Assurance Technicians.
• Assist the Quality Assurance Team in processing and resolving customer concerns, as required.
• Provide the organization with technical support and act as a mentor to the Quality Technicians.
• Understand and apply appropriate quality assurance and process improvement initiatives.
• Continuously upgrade skills and knowledge to improve personal effectiveness and provide training and guidance to Teammates across functional lines.
• Recognize and evaluate the impact on others when making any decision.

Customer and Company Support – 40%

• Active participation in new product launches representing Quality as part of the APQP process, as required.
• Effectively communicating with customers, suppliers, and employees of Supply Technologies, as required.
• Provide visible, active support for the ISO9001, and the ISO 14001 Quality System, as applicable.
• Facilitate safe work habits and environment, follow all safety guidelines, and utilize appropriate safety equipment and practices.
• Practice positive customer relations and constructive problem-solving.

Maintaining and Creating Documentation – 30%

• Constructing complete and accurate Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) packages ready for presentation to the customer.
• Utilize the Inventory Management System to perform required transactions and to generate reports and metrics, as requested.
• Perform Gage R&R studies, as required.

Must Haves:

• APQP Experience.
• Statistical analysis experience.
• Statistical Process Control (SPC) software experience.
• ISO Auditing experience.
• Experience with SMARTSHEET is a huge plus.
• PPAP experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Experience in the use of basic inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
• Ability to work under remote or offsite supervision.
• Ability to travel.
• Regular, reliable attendance.
• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline OR an offsetting experience.

WE Value:

• Fastener experience is a plus.
• ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 exposure.
• Gage Calibration and Gage R&R software experience.
• Experience with Optical Comparator, Hardness Tester, Thread and Plug Gages.
• Exposure to Six Sigma.
