WEB APPLICATION / DEVOPS ENGINEER

Temporary Appointment – Up to two years.
The Superior Court of California, County of San Francisco (the Court), invites applications from qualified individuals interested in the Web Application / DevOps Engineer position. This position is up to two years with a possibility of extension. At the San Francisco Superior Court, we rely on our IT systems to help our staff reach and succeed with the public all over San Francisco. We are seeking a Web Application / DevOps Engineer who is eager to use and grow their technological skills worldwide. In this role, the successful individual will prepare program code for the development of Court computer applications; develop, modify, and maintain major Court computer application systems; protect our critical information, systems, and assets; lead in building software solutions; contribute to systems design and architecture; assist in the development of an overall IT strategy; and perform other job-related duties as required. This selection process follows San Francisco Superior Court Personnel Rule 4. An eligibility list will not be established.

COMPENSATION: $4,564.40 to $5,547.95 biweekly ($118,674 - $144,247 annually)

POSITION OVERVIEW
Work is typically performed in an office or computer training center environment, including continuous work on a computer screen and keyboard. Remote work is available at the court's discretion.
Typical Physical Requirements: Sit for extended periods; frequently stand and walk; average manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination; lift and move objects weighing up to 25 lbs.; corrected hearing and vision to normal range; verbal communication; use of office equipment, including computer, telephone, calculator, copiers, and FAX.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of training and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities qualifies. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and skills would be:
Two years of responsible work experience in developing and debugging computer programs.

SELECTION PROCESS
Initial Screening:
Complete application packages received by the final filing date and time will be evaluated to determine if the applicants meet the minimum qualifications. The Court will further consider these documents and may interview only those applicants it deems may best meet the court's needs. Not all applicants will receive an interview.
Oral Interview:
If necessary, selected applicants may be interviewed to determine their relative knowledge, abilities, and skill levels in job-related areas. If interviews are scheduled, they are anticipated to be conducted in June 2024.

Appointment to the Web Application / DevOps Engineer position is temporary and lasts up to two years.
