Title: Electrical Engineer

Location: Durham, NC

Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 Bonus Equity

Overview:

We're seeking a highly skilled and innovative Electrical Engineer to join our team. This role is for someone who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to the development of revolutionary robotics technology. You'll play a crucial role in designing and implementing the electrical systems that power our robots, ensuring they operate at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop complex PCBs for robotic systems, ensuring reliability and efficiency in challenging environments.
  • Work closely with the mechanical and software engineering teams to integrate electrical systems with other components.
  • Apply expertise in power electronics to develop robust power management systems, including power supply design and motor control.
  • Utilize knowledge of high impedance and impedance matching to optimize signal integrity and power distribution.
  • Participate in the entire product lifecycle, from concept through design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Contribute to firmware development projects, bridging the gap between hardware and software to create seamless and functional integrations.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in electrical engineering and robotics, applying innovative solutions to complex problems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in PCB design
  • 1 year of experience in power electronics, with a solid understanding of power systems in robotic applications.
  • 1 year of experience working with high impedance systems, demonstrating proficiency in impedance matching techniques.
  • Hands-on experience in firmware development, with a strong grasp of the interplay between software and hardware.
  • A proven track record of innovative problem-solving and the ability to think outside the box.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines.
