Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team. As a Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing and ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees.
Duties:
- Process payroll for employees using Toast and Quickbooks.
- Calculate and enter employee hours, commissions, bonuses, and other compensation into the payroll system
- Review and verify accuracy of payroll data, including deductions, taxes, and benefits
- Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposits to employees on a scheduled basis
- Resolve any payroll discrepancies or issues in a timely manner
- Generate reports on payroll expenses, tax withholdings, and other related data
- Maintain accurate records of employee information, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax requirements
- Collaborate with HR department to ensure accurate employee data is maintained in the payroll system
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role
- Strong understanding of payroll processes and procedures
- Proficient in data entry and general ledger accounting principles
- Familiarity with accounting software and payroll management systems
- Knowledge of debits, credits, journal entries, and basic accounting principles
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
