• Oversees outstanding accounts receivable for large Orthopedic Surgery practice.
• Provides guidance to AR team of 10, providing direction on appropriate action to take on accounts.
• Assist in developing new AR processes, workflows, policies and procedures reviews staff productivity reports.
• Reviews patient accounts to ensure proper and timely action is taken.
• Provides system updates,education and clarification on processes.
• Responsible for maintaining carrier tracking spreadsheets and meeting with provider reps.
• Works closely with Assistant Billing Manager with generating reports, denial management and handling patient complaints.
• Oversees training of new staff is complete, effective and timely. Completes misc. reports and staffing schedules.
• Responsible for conducting interviews and assists with hiring process; approves time off requests and manages OT; conducts disciplinary actions and conducts mid-year and annual evaluations.
• Must be able to use various billing platforms

Associates Degree or pertinent college level courses in a related field and four years of progressively responsible medical billing experience, including supervisory experience. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience.
