About the Office
The mission of the Office of Institutional Research and Data Analytics is to serve as the official student-related data clearinghouse for the University. In this role and with integrity, the Office provides information, data, and analysis in an accurate and timely manner to support SUNY's core mission and decision-making, System Administration and Board of Trustees, and sixty-four campuses. The Office is responsible for collecting data and performing analyses to promote academic quality, system-wide planning, and accountability; providing support for the strategic decision making of the system leadership and the Board of Trustees; and meeting mandatory federal and state reporting requirements.
Job Description:
The Associate for University Planning and Analysis is a full-time position in the Office of Institutional Research and Data Analytics at SUNY System Administration in Albany, NY. This position supports the institutional research office with general reporting responsibilities as well as system-wide projects, including but not limited to, the coordination of data collection, analysis, and evaluation strategies. The successful candidate will also work directly and closely with members of other SUNY System Administration functional offices as well as SUNY campus colleagues.
The individual holding this position will have a lead role in advanced data manipulation, integration, and analysis for the office. The individual will have strong analytical skills and will join the office well-prepared to regularly work with millions of records at the broad system and sector levels as well as the campus level to produce both insightful snapshot and longitudinal reports. The individual will already have strong technical and programming skills and will have interest in learning new skills as well. The individual will be curious, resourceful, and self-motivated.
The Associate for University Planning and Analysis will enjoy working in a highly-regarded, supportive, and collaborative office environment and will be committed to making his or her own positive contributions to such an environment. This is a hybrid position that requires being on-site in Albany 50% time (3 days one week and 2 days the next).
