The Title IX Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and resolving complaints of sex and/or gender-based discrimination, including sexual misconduct., sexual harassment, sexual violence, gender inequity) interpersonal and intimate partner violence and stalking. The Title IX Coordinator will ensure compliance with Title IX, NYS Article 129B (Enough is Enough), Violence Against Woman Act (VAWA) and other laws, rules and regulations governing Title IX compliance to ensure a campus community that is safe and free of sex discrimination and sexual violence. This position will investigate complaints and work with relevant campus offices when necessary, including but not limited to Human Resources, Student Affairs, Community Standards and Leadership, University Police Department, General Counsel and Athletics, to ensure fair and neutral processes for all parties, as well as overall compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures. This position has the authority to assist in determining, creating, and affecting policy for SUNY Poly.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field from a college ·or university accredited by US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization;
a minimum of three to five years of relevant professional work experience, specifically with legal, regulatory and/or policy compliance; demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of Title IX regulation and program administration;
Previous experience with and training in conducting investigatory processes and responding to complaints; demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office; excellent oral and written communication skills.
