The Faculty Center for Teaching, Learning & Scholarship at the State University of New York at Oneonta invites applications for the position of Pedagogy Support Specialist. SUNY Oneonta's Pedagogy Support Specialist will join a highly collaborative team of professionals in the Faculty Center for Teaching, Learning & Scholarship who develop programming focused on best pedagogical practices and how they interact with technology and campus priorities.

The successful candidate will serve as a campus expert on the scholarship of teaching and learning, and best practices for pedagogy, andragogy, and academic development support. The candidate will be asked to create, coordinate, and assess training and workshop opportunities throughout the academic year. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Coordinating and designing campus events both in person and online to support best pedagogical practices for both traditional and non-traditional students.
• Working with different campus constituents to recruit needed presenters.
• Creating promotional materials
• Supporting instructors in their use of our learning management system (Brightspace).
• Managing data and digital files of resources for faculty
• Producing web content.
• Facilitation of Professional Learning Communities and Communities of Practice.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development about pedagogical strategies and assessment practices.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated interest in Faculty Development and Faculty Scholarship.
• Ability to build partnerships with diverse units across a campus and among faculty and staff.

Preferred:

• Master's degree in a related field.
• Experience working in higher education.
• Enjoyment of and commitment to collaboration.
• Experience working with and serving diverse populations.
