The Department of Information Technology Services at the State University of New York at Oneonta invites applications for the position of IT Security Analyst in the IT Security and Client Computing department.

Information Technology Services has 41 employees working as a team to provide technology solutions across campus. The department of IT Security and Client Computing is one of five departments within SUNY Oneonta's ITS organization. Working together with the Networking and Telecommunications, Systems and Solutions, Enterprise Application Services, and Customer Support, the department offers prospective employees an opportunity to work in an exciting fast-paced area focused on providing high quality customer service to the campus community. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Reviewing, updating, and creating policies to support the information security program.
• Assisting in the managing and documenting of compliance efforts.
• Conducting risk assessments.
• Facilitating and promoting IT security training to the campus community.
• Assisting and sometimes leading incident handling procedures
• Monitoring of institutional systems for intrusion
• Identification and management of IT security vulnerabilities and threats
• Enforcement of day-to-day information security policy.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree at time of hire.
• Experience working in Information Technology.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred:

• Information Technology, Cyber Security, or related degree.
• Three years' experience working in Information Technology.
• Experience working in a higher education setting.
• Training or experience in IT Security standards (i.e., NIST 800, PCI-DSS).
• Experience with endpoint security application management.
• Proven experience developing, implementing, and managing policies.
• Experience developing and delivering IT training with preference to IT security training.
• Experience working with and serving diverse populations.
