CLERK- Part-Time

Job Description:
SUNY Broome Community College has an immediate opening for a part-time Clerk in the Financial Aid Office. This position provides clerical support to the Finance Office, Financial Aid Office, and the Veteran and Military Affairs Office. Hours for this position will be pre-approved by the supervisor within the core business hours of 8:30 am – 5:00 pm from Monday through Friday. This position is not to exceed 19.5 hours per week. This position is represented by the ESPA bargaining unit.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Routine office and clerical tasks, prepares and maintains files, aids students, and supports outreach to students in person, via email and phone. Tasks include: Data input, answering student questions, scheduling appointments, answering phones, taking messages, and filing.
Requirements:
This position requires flexibility, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and to work effectively in a service-oriented department with students, parents, the public, and campus constituencies as part of a team environment. The successful candidate must be able to work independently, and have the ability to effectively communicate and work in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Information:
The hourly rate for this position is $16.49.
Offers of employment will be conditional based upon the results of a satisfactory, required pre-employment Standard Background Check.
