Job Summary:
Suntrup Auto is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as an Automotive Acquisitions Specialist. As part of the sales team, the Automotive Acquisitions Specialist will be responsible for identifying and acquiring new vehicles for our dealership in St Louis, Missouri. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the auto industry, strong negotiation skills, and a proven track record of sales success.

Responsibilities:
- Identify and acquire new vehicles for the dealership, including trade-ins and auction purchases
- Develop and maintain relationships with wholesalers, dealerships, and private sellers
- Negotiate purchase prices and trade-in values to maximize profits for the dealership
- Conduct market research to stay informed on current market trends, pricing, and availability of vehicles
- Work with the sales and marketing teams to ensure inventory is advertised and promoted effectively
- Keep accurate records of all vehicle acquisitions and sales
- Attend auctions and other industry events as needed
- Follow up with leads and maintain communication with potential sellers
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure inventory meets customer demand and sales goals
- Adhere to all dealership policies and regulations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, some college or automotive trade school preferred
- 2 years of experience in automotive sales or acquisitions
- Proven track record of success in a sales role
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to close deals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of market trends and pricing in the auto industry
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
