ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other related duties may be required and assigned.
1. Develop and implement PLC programs according to project requirements and specifications.
2. Modify existing PLC programs to improve efficiency, address issues, or accommodate changes in production processes.
3. Conduct testing and debugging of PLC programs to ensure proper functionality and reliability.
4. Collaborate with engineers and technicians to integrate PLC systems into new or existing manufacturing equipment.
5. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for PLC-related issues on the production floor.
6. Document all PLC programs, modifications, and troubleshooting procedures for future reference.
7. Stay updated on the latest advancements in PLC technology and automation techniques to suggest improvements and optimizations.
8. Adhere to safety protocols and standards while working with PLC systems in industrial environments.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge/Skills:
· Proficient in PLC programming languages and software tools.
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders.
· Adaptability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced industrial environment.
Ability to:
· Work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
· Prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Tolerate extended periods of sitting at a desk.
· Function in an environment with ambient noise louder than a traditional office setting.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
· Previous experience (2-3 years) in PLC programming or industrial automation.
· Experience with PLC hardware and software
Physical/Safety Requirements:
· Tolerate extended periods of sitting at a desk.
· Ambient noise is louder than a traditional office setting.
