Data Product Owner Role

SunStream Business Services is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Data Product Owner, specializing in the farm credit industry. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development and management of data products tailored to the unique needs of agricultural finance institutions. As part of a technology services organization, you will collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to deliver innovative data solutions that drive efficiency and growth in the farm credit sector.

Responsibilities

• Define the vision and roadmap for data products catering to the farm credit industry, in collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Gather and prioritize requirements from agricultural finance institutions, translating them into actionable product features and enhancements.
• Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and domain experts to design and deliver scalable data solutions that address the specific challenges faced by farm credit organizations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing guidance and support throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities in agricultural finance data management.
• Monitor key performance indicators and usage metrics to measure the success of data products and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Agriculture, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Proven experience in product management, with a focus on data products or analytics in the agricultural or financial services sector.
• Strong understanding of the farm credit industry, including knowledge of lending practices, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with data technologies such as data warehousing, data lakes, business intelligence tools, and predictive analytics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
• Experience working in an agile development environment, with proficiency in agile methodologies and tools.
• Analytical mindset with a strategic approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and industry events.
