Job Summary:

The Sunsoil Production and Supply Chain Manager will be the onsite leader at our production facility and farm in Hardwick Vermont. This is an onsite role in a beautiful, rural setting in Northern VT located 30 minutes from Stowe, 1 hour from Burlington, 2 hours from Montreal and 3 hours from Boston. The P/SC Manager will be responsible for managing a small stable team to care for the facility and all production needs. Additionally, the person will take a leadership role in the supply chain management process for the company in our work internally and with external production and shipping partners. The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial self-starter who thrives in a fast paced, ever-changing environment. This person should be prepared to roll up their sleeves and participate alongside staff members in the production process as well as visualize and drive continuous improvement in our production management. Strong communication and project management skills are vital as we are small but growing company. This role reports to the COO but has direct contact with key employees at all levels and departments of the company.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • S&OP – manages demand forecasts based on historical and forecasted sell through.
  • Develops and maintains BOMs and SOPs.
  • Manage purchasing and purchase order process.
  • Proper inventory management.
  • Manages shipping and receiving processes.
  • Represents company as POC for many critical partner/vendor relationships.
  • Assigns production and facility upkeep tasks.
  • Manages team to make sure assigned tasks are being completed.
  • Directly participates in production.
  • Maintains facility in good working order (ie: equipment issues, security).
  • Helps plan for and implement new on-site production improvements.
  • Maintains GMP compliance and completes all product traceability paperwork.
  • Works with new product development team to make sure no steps are skipped.
  • Manages product quality testing processes.
  • Random tasks as necessary (ie: insurance issues, organic cert, kosher cert, etc)
  • POC for product and regulatory compliance process.
  • Distributes critical information across company.

Qualifications:

  • 4-7 years of progressive management experience in food and/or CPG.
  • Highly organized with proven experience in strategic planning and resource allocation.
  • Creative self-starter with the ability to think out of the box (loves wearing many hats).
  • Willingness to roll up sleeves and do whatever is needed to get the job done.
  • Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills (data-driven thinking).
  • Proven project management skills and cross-functional understanding of a vertically integrated manufacturing process.
  • Ability to pivot in strategy and be flexible with the ever-changing dynamics of the industry.
  • Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Prior experience with Cin7 preferred.

  • This is an onsite role in Hardwick Vermont.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 per year
