JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Job Summary The RBT provides will provide one on one intervention using the principles of ABA therapy under the direction of the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) at Sunshine School & Development Center. This position includes the implementation of a treatment plan developed by the BCBA addressing communication, behavior, feeding, life skills, and social skills. The RBT will also monitor the progress of the treatment plan and work closely with the BCBA to update the treatment plan as necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 intervention using ABA principles.
• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the BCBA.
• Collect data to monitor the progress and effectiveness of the individualized treatment plan.
• Provide regular written and verbal progress updates on treatment goals to supervisor and child’s team.
• Support the BCBA with training families on implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Participate in team meetings and trainings.
• Adhere to organizational policies and procedures and abide by code of ethics as indicated by the

Behavior Analyst Certification Board.

• Maintain a clean and safe therapy environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. High School Diploma

2. Registered Behavior Technician or must successfully complete 40-hour RBT training and pass the RBT Competency Assessment within 3 weeks of start date.

3. Experience working with preschool-aged children.

4. Experience working with children with developmental delays or disabilities, and parents, preferred.

5. Experience working on interdisciplinary teams is preferred.

6. Physical requirements- must be able to carry a child up to 40 pounds.
