SCREED OPERATOR (ASPHALT)

PositionSummary: Sunshine Enterprise USA is proud to represent a leading player in the asphalt and concreteconstruction industry in Central Florida seeking an experienced Screed Operatorto ensure the safe, andproper operation of the reclamation including, but not limited to, dailymaintenance and control of automated screed.

Responsibilities:

•Efficiently operate heavy, motorized equipment and performvarious skilled construction and maintenance tasks.

•Undertake manual work in adverse weather conditionsindependently and follow both oral and written instructions.

•Communicate clearly, adhering to safety practices andregulations to minimize potential hazards.

•Perform routine maintenance, promptly report complexmechanical issues, and maintain a safe work environment.

•Exercise control over material distribution from paver,manage depths, and measure yield on jobs.

•Attend Daily Huddle and Weekly Toolbox Talks, adapting to aflexible work schedule.

•Maintain good health status for lifting and physical tasks,understanding and interpreting project specifications.

•Complete a daily Equipment Condition Report, promptlyinforming the supervisor of any project challenges.

•Take responsibility for the efficient working condition ofequipment, including minor servicing maintenance and proper setup and controlof automated screed controls.

Requirements

• To be eligible for consideration, allapplicants must possess a valid Driver's License.
• At least 2 years’ proven experience workingwith asphalt is necessary.
• A minimum of 2 years reclamationoperation screed operation experience requiresdemonstrable previous experience as a Screed Operator. 

• Thorough understanding of screed operation on the asphalt paver in the construction, maintenance, and repair of roads, highways, parking lots, and other large job sites.
• Musthave goodvision, stamina, hand-eye coordination, and ability to estimate size and dimensions.
• Must be able to meet all safetyrequirements and applicable safety policies.
• Capable of heavy lifting, climbing, balancing,stooping, kneeling, crawling, crouching, and reaching
• Able to work outdoors withperiodic exposure to the environment with high levels of noise, grease, and dustthat is typically associated with a construction project.
• Exemplary attention to detail, qualitycraftsmanship, and a safety focused mindset.
• Relieson experience and judgment to plan and achieve goals.
