PositionSummary : As a Finish EquipmentOperator your expertise in operating heavy construction machinerywill be pivotal in delivering highquality infrastructure projects.

As a skilled finish equipment operator you will be responsible formaneuvering various heavy equipment to achieve precise grading andfinishing in accordance with projectspecifications.

Requirements / Qualifications :

  • Theideal candidate will have 3 5 years experience in heavy civilconstruction and heavy equipmentoperation.
  • To be eligible forconsideration all applicants must possess a valid DriversLicense.
  • OSHA 10 certification andFDOT specifications experiencepreferred.
  • Excavator Skid SteerDozer Loader GPS technology experiencepreferred.
  • Knowledge ofexcavator / backhoe loading requirements; load charts; criticalpicks.
  • Indepth knowledge of finishedequipment operation traffic and highway safety rules andregulations.
  • Familiarity withprecautionary measures to prevent accidents during heavy equipmentoperation.
  • Proficiency in operatingfinish graders excavators pavers or similar heavyequipment.
  • Ability to comprehendfollow and issue both oral and written instructionseffectively.
  • Capable of heavylifting climbing balancing stooping kneeling crawling crouching andreaching
  • Must have good visionstamina handeye coordination and ability to estimate size anddimensions.
  • Must be able to meet allsafety requirements and applicable safetypolicies.
  • Able to work outdoors industy or dirty areas.
  • Strongattention to detail and qualitycraftmanship.
  • Relies on experienceand judgment to plan and achievegoals.
  • Adaptive to differentpersonalities and managementstyles
  • Team player with goodinterpersonal skills
  • Dedicated andhardworking

Responsibilities :

  • Safeoperation of a FinishDozer.
  • Handling and / or movingmaterial.
  • Maintain daily logs ofequipment usage maintenance ofequipment.
  • Identify report andcorrect hazards.
  • Perform tasksmaintaining all health safety and environmental rules and ensureall work is done in a manner which enhances safety of the workenvironment.
  • Complete equipmentcondition reports as well as a daily checklist of work to be doneon your equipment and provide to the Project Superintendentdaily.
  • Cleaning the machinesregularly. This includes sweeping the cabs and removing trash dailycleaning the interior weekly and lubricating doors and windowsbiweekly.
  • Understand and comply withall Company safety policies and procedures. Know where allutilities within the work zone are located.

Be responsible for yourown safety as well as those working in thearea.

  • Inform your Superintendent orForeman daily of your equipment fuel status so the fuel truck canbe scheduled if needed for the nextmorning.
  • Make a note on yourequipment report and let your Superintendent know if you need anysupplies i.e. : grease oil rags cleaning supplies or if the machineneeds to be steamcleaned.

Qualifications : AEC Bachelor s degree is preferred or equivalentrelated field experience with International Code Counsel, NICET,etc.

Current certification required USACE / NAVFAC / NRC ConstructionQuality Management certification preferred but not requiredIndustry certifications for testing and inspection as required toreview and certify that the test, inspection, and proceduressatisfy requirements Limited travel for projects as necessary Level1 QCM Minimum 7 years of AEC experience, with 3 years preferred ina Quality role Good communication skills, critical thinking andproblem solving abilities, and ability to prioritize, organize andmanage time Knowledge of standards, specifications and publicationsof job related duties
