LEAD FLORAL MERCHANDISER | Floral Department

COMPENSATION | $18.00/hr. with PTO, Benefits*, & 401K.

GENERAL OVERVIEW | Sunshine Bouquet, a leader in the mass-market floral industry, is looking for a motivated candidate to support our Lead Floral Merchandiser in managing, maintaining, and merchandising a high-volume fresh-cut flower display for our client in Mount Juliet, TN.

JOB DESCRIPTION | The Lead Floral Merchandiser works in our client’s facility on their own, or with Lead Merchandisers. Their duties include, but are not limited to:

• Cleaning, watering, restocking and merchandising floral displays before and during business hours.
• Accessing cold storage and warehouse area.
• Moving palletized product around the facility with a manual pallet jack.
• Lifting and palletizing boxes.
• Standing for extended periods, walking, bending, and kneeling.
• Quickly replenishing merchandise as items are purchased.
• Identifying and removing damaged or outdated floral items from display.
• Assisting potential floral customers with questions and selection of products during business hours.
• Sending and receiving emails with photo attachments from a smartphone.
• Managing and inventorying products and product shrink on a weekly basis.

REQUIREMENTS | Candidate must be:

• Able to stand for extended periods. Work shifts require walking, bending, and kneeling.
• Able to travel locally daily with a driver's license in good standing (mandatory).
• Punctual.
• Professional etiquette
• A self-starter.
• Able to work efficiently under minimal supervision.
• Own a smartphone (with data service).
• Able to use email for mobile and desktop devices.
• Detail-oriented and able to communicate effectively with supervisor(s).
• Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs.
• Able to operate a manual pallet jack (training provided).
• Available to work early mornings, split-shifts, weekends, and additional hours during holidays/promotional periods.
• Able to work with floral materials and foliage.

ADDITIONAL DESIRED SKILLS | A plus for candidate, but not required:

• Previous floral merchandising experience.
