Our Corporate office in Livonia, Michigan is currently seeking a Data Operations Analyst to join our Information Technology team! As a Data Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing data operations within an organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability, accuracy, and integrity of data. Your role will involve monitoring data processes, troubleshooting issues, and implementing data governance practices. The Data Ops Analyst plays a critical role in maintaining the quality and reliability of data, enabling data-driven decision-making processes.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage data pipelines, workflows, and data integration processes.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data.
• Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to ensure smooth data flow and data integrity.
• Develop and implement data validation processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Perform data profiling and analysis to identify anomalies and data inconsistencies.
• Create and maintain data documentation, including data dictionaries and data lineage.
• Develop and enforce data governance policies and standards.
• Work closely with IT teams to ensure data security and privacy compliance.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation in data operations.
• Monitor and report on data metrics and performance indicators.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and implement data solutions.
• Provide support and guidance to end-users in data-related activities.
• Conduct data audits and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with data governance regulations and standards.
• Implement data monitoring and alerting systems to detect anomalies and data issues.
• Collaborate with business analysts and data scientists to define data requirements and specifications.
• Participate in data-related projects, providing expertise and insights.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data operations.
• Assist in data modeling activities to support data analytics and reporting.
• Collaborate with data stewards and data owners to establish data ownership and accountability.

Education/Background Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Ops Analyst or in a similar data management role.
• Relevant certifications in data management or data operations are preferred.

• Strong knowledge of data operations, data integration, and data quality management.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases.
• Familiarity with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools.
• Experience with data monitoring and alerting tools.
• Knowledge of data governance principles and best practices.
• Understanding of data privacy and security regulations.
• Familiarity with data modeling concepts and techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with complex data sets.

• Familiarity with data warehouse concepts and architectures.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
