Porsche Beaverton is looking to add someone who is passionate about automobiles and has a knack for safely trailering vehicles from one location to another! As our Vehicle Transporter, your primary responsibilities will be loading, unloading, and securing vehicles onto our transport trailers, as well as safely and efficiently transporting the various cars and SUVs from one location to another. This position is a key part of our dealership as you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and secure delivery of vehicles to our valued customers. Attention to detail, excellent driving skills, and adherence to safety protocols are paramount. To be considered for this position you must have a Class B driver’s license, along with experience towing a fully enclosed vehicle trailer.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and drive a transport truck or trailer to pick up and deliver vehicles to designated locations.
• Safely load and secure vehicles onto transport trailers, ensuring they are protected from damage during transit.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the transport equipment to ensure it is in optimal working condition.
• Follow all traffic and transportation regulations to ensure the safe and lawful operation of the transport vehicle.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle pickups, deliveries, and any incidents that occur during transportation.
• Coordinate with dispatchers and other team members to efficiently plan transportation routes and schedules.
• Communicate professionally with customers during vehicle pickups and deliveries, providing exceptional customer service.
• Assist with basic vehicle maintenance and cleaning as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience in vehicle transportation or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to operate transport equipment, such as trailers or carriers, safely and effectively.
• Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Physical fitness and ability to load and unload vehicles manually.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility in working hours, as the job may require occasional weekends or overtime.
• 10 years of driving experience.
• Strong independent decision-making, organizational, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Basic internet proficiency.
• A valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
