POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for providing superior quality teller services quickly and efficiently. Processes customer transactions in a timely and accurate manner; responds to customer inquiries and provides a positive reflection upon the bank’s image. Proactively look for ways to improve a customer’s financial situation; referring to bankers, as necessary.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provides quality customer service that includes maintaining a positive & cooperative attitude, acknowledges & responds immediately to the customer, “Customer before paperwork”, Greets the customer by name; makes eye contact, demonstrates, great customer service, thanks customer for choosing Sunrise Banks.
  • Assists with phone answering as needed.
  • Identifies opportunities to cross-sell bank products and services to new and existing customers.
  • Processes customer deposits and withdrawals according to established procedures.
  • Maintains sufficient cash drawer funds to provide timely customer service.
  • Cashes checks for account holders and approved check cashing customers per procedures.
  • Processes additional transactions as assigned but not limited to: mail and night deposit items under dual control, telephone transfers and money orders, cashiers checks and redeems savings bonds, process currency and coin orders, count coin, ensuring that all transactions are recorded promptly and accurately.
  • Performs various responsibilities and special projects as assigned by management.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High school degree or GED preferred.
  • One (1) year customer service or cash handling experience preferred.
  • Experience in the financial industry beneficial.
  • Computer literacy required.
  • Ability to listen, speak clearly and effectively to others.
  • Experience with Fiserv banking products desirable.
