POSITION SUMMARY

The IT Operations Director plays a pivotal role in fostering collaboration between IT and business stakeholders to execute, enhance, and sustain IT business systems, functions, and initiatives within the banking environment. This position spearheads the establishment of robust standards and procedures that facilitate the seamless planning, assessment, implementation, and coordination of IT business systems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Lead the IT operations team, including Application and Database Operations, while ensuring alignment with the bank's overarching mission and business strategies.
• Coordinate IT operations resources to provide dedicated support for Business Applications and Functions, ensuring optimal functionality and alignment with business needs.
• Creation and adherence of the annual IT budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment with strategic priorities.
• Create and maintain IT policies and standards to uphold operational excellence and compliance.
• Foster collaborative partnerships with Business Stakeholders to effectively manage vendors and external partners.
• Establish clear support structures, escalation protocols, and SLAs to ensure the seamless functioning of Business Applications and Functions.
• Lead IT Project Management, Business Analysis and QA, ensuring that they are working together effectively to support all IT initiatives.
• Participate in the Business Continuity Management program; formulate and execute the IT Disaster Recovery plan and testing.
• Develop measurable performance indicators, metrics, and insightful reports that enable informed decision-making and continuous improvement.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position supervises IT Operations, Project Management and Business Analysts/QA staff.

Responsible for the hiring, performance management and development of these employees.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Technology preferred.
• 10 years IT Management experience required.
• Experience in the financial industry preferred.
• Fiserv system experience preferred.
• Highly ethical self-starter with strong leadership skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.
