Skills:

• Ability to drive a sweeper truck
• Perform basic pre-trip inspection
• Sweeping on job site
• Dump the truck and use rake to pull out debris out of truck
• Complete paperwork upon completion of night
• Read maps and follow driving directions
• Good knowledge of traffic regulations and safe driving practices
• Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to work independently, customer service skills, organizational skills, and a positive attitude are required

Responsibilities:

• Drive sweeper truck to a job
• Use a back pack blower to blow out trash at each site
• Sweep up trash with truck
• Drive the truck from job to job
• Sweeping on job site includes: sweeping parking lot, empty garbage cans and doing necessary hand work with back pack blower, push broom and shovel

Qualifications and Skills:

• Training will constitute of a supervisor riding with you to do the training on-site until you are ready to sweep
• Punctuality and honesty are expected
• After training is complete you are on your own and are expected to perform in a professional manner and quality work
• Must have ability to speak, understand, write and read English
• Able to lift 50 lbs. and climb in and out of equipment
• Able to work around dirt, dust, and noise associated with heavy equipment
