Job Summary and Qualifications

Seeking an experienced Wound Care Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. In this role you will provide the best possible preventative and supportive intra-operative care to each patient based upon their individual needs and are looking for a team member who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.   • You must have a comprehensive knowledge of advanced wound care modalities, including but not limited to negative pressure wound therapy, skin substitutes, maggot therapy, therapeutic compression wraps/dressings, total contact casts, hyperbaric, etc.
  • You must be able to effectively manage and direct other staff such as certified nurse assistant, coordinator, licensed practicing nurse, technician, etc.
  • You must work in an efficient and organized manner as to care for several patients at once while ensuring provider orders are carried out and passed on to other coordinating healthcare providers including but not limited to home health, infusion center, follow up referral visits, etc.
  • You must be flexible to work inpatient wound care as well as outpatient wound care
  • You must be able to coordinate transitioning the inpatient wound care patient to the outpatient status, includes working with case management, primary care physicians, staff nursing, etc.
  • You must be able to accurately and completely document on all patients by end of business day, this includes encouraging and ensuring provider’s documentation is complete
What qualifications you will need:
  • RN licensure (Nevada State RN Licensure within 3 months of employment)
  • Prefer ACLS certification for wound care
  • ACLS certification required within one year when a chamber operator
  • If a chamber operator, must pass HBO Technologist (CHT) or Nurse Exam (CHRN-Basic) within one year of employment
  • Critical Care Nursing Experience/Certification preferred
  • Pass National League of Nursing medication test with a score of 80% or greater
