PRESCHOOL TEACHER-INFANTS

Sunrise Academy is a PK-12th Grade Private School in Orange City, Florida.

This is a full time position. Please do not apply if you do not have availability between the hours of 8:00 a.m.- 5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.

Pay Rates

Applicants who possess DCF 45 Hours:

• $17.00-18.00 /hr. with Bachelor’s/Staff Credential & experience
• $15.00-16.00/hr. with CDA/Associates & experience

The selected candidate will need to pass a criminal and DCF background check.

Required Qualifications:

• Florida Issued CDA or Staff Credential
• DCF 45 Hours
• Childcare Experience

Desired( though not required) Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience
• First Aid Training & CPR

Hours

• Must be able to work 40 hour (or more) work week, and have availability between 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.

A preschool teacher is responsible for all aspects of the care & education for the children enrolled in his/her class. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: physical care giving, developmental assessments, following an age appropriate curricular plan, and facilitation of supportive relationships director, co-workers, parents, and students.

Responsibilities of this position will include but are not necessarily limited to the following:

• Ensure the safety of each child enrolled in their class whether in the classroom, or in common areas;
• Maintain regular observation and evaluation of children's development and progress as directed by administration;
• Maintain portfolio for each student;
• Complete weekly lesson plans, goals, and newsletters;
• Accept and maintain responsibility on a daily basis for the ordered arrangement, appearance, decor, and cleanliness of the learning environment of the classroom;
• Plan and implement age and developmentally appropriate classroom practices that will include the areas of physical, emotional, social and cognitive needs of the young
• Serve as a role model for the children in the areas of attitude, speech and actions on a daily basis;
• Treat each child with dignity and respect for his/her cultural background;
• Encourage children's development in the areas of building self-confidence, problem solving, and taking responsibility for their actions;
• Interact with each child on a daily basis through circle time, centers, snacks, lunchtime, playground, free play,

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
