Sunnyside Village is one of the most highly respected not-for-profit Christian senior living communities in the Sarasota area. Serving our community for over 50 years, we offer residential living and additional care services, including out-patient therapy, assisted living, short-term rehabilitation, long-term comprehensive care, and palliative care, all within our distinctive 35-acre neighborhood.

As the Resident Liaison for Sunnyside Village Independent Living, you play a crucial role as the primary contact and essential resource for residents. Your responsibilities include designing and promoting wellness programs that enhance residents' healthy lifestyles and overall well-being. You'll assist residents in accessing resources that support their independent living and wellness needs. Regular interactions with residents will allow you to address their concerns, identify opportunities for improvement, and connect them with the appropriate departments or services.

Your duties extend to organizing health seminars, coordinating wellness services such as blood pressure checks and screenings, and providing essential wellness information to new residents during their orientation walk through. Additionally, you'll manage vital personal information for each resident and ensure emergency preparedness education is completed within the independent living community.

Collaboration with the Resident Welcoming Committee on initiatives like the Resident Welcome Booklet, scheduling new resident move-ins, and participation in the admissions committee are integral parts of your role. You'll also provide support to various resident committees and activities, including but not limited to the Library Committee, Vision Support Group, Retired Medical Group, and Resident Workshop Guild.

In addition to these responsibilities, you oversee the refinement and development of an on-campus Personal Care Services Program. Serving on the community Safety Committee and other relevant committees is also part of your role, as assigned.

Requirements:

· Education/training as a Social Worker or related experience.

· Must maintain certification in CPR and First Aid.
