Description
Disassemble, diagnose and repair vehicle transmission. Clean and inspect all parts. Functions as an experienced technician who is able to perform diagnoses and repairs of most vehicle components with little supervision required. Performs work outlined on repair order with efficiency & accuracy to dealership standards. Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers. Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
Requirements
5 years automotive and engine repair experience or auto mechanic training required. Have a valid MA drivers license. ASE certifications required. Ability to maintain a professional appearance and provide friendly customer service. Must read, interpret and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate resources. Perform routine maintenance and other tasks in a fast-paced environment. May be required to lift objects weighing as much as 50 lbs. High school equivalent required. Good understanding of automotive air-conditioning systems. Ability to use diagnostic equipment. Have good hand-eye coordination.
