Responsibilities:
This key leadership position is responsible for the successful operation of the Food & Nutrition Department in the Nursing Home and as the Director of Dietary Services you will under general direction plan, direct, coordinate and manage the food service activities and operations including, but not limited to procurement, receiving, storage, preparation, and menu planning.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the kitchen operations and ensure smooth functioning of the nutrition services department
- Supervise and lead a team of kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Assist in food production and preparation, ensuring high quality and adherence to safety standards
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering and stock rotation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff
Skills:
- Strong kitchen management skills, including knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to effectively manage a team, providing direction and support as needed
- Experience in food production and preparation, with a focus on nutritious meals
- Culinary skills, including knowledge of various cooking techniques and recipes
