Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:30am-3pm. The individual will be expected to flex his/her working hours to meet business needs.

Report immediately to your Site Quality Leader and Operations Leader all conditions that may pose a risk to product food safety and/or quality. Food Safety is Everyone’s Responsibility .

Role Description:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Daily management and coordination of HSE work systems.
• Coordinates and directs strength of the Safety Leaders on each production team and support areas.
• Trains and develops Safety Leaders for certification in safety systems.
• Represents the HSE function on the NJ Leadership Team
• Maintain and lead improvement of HSE systems driving to Zero incidents with T.I.R. < 1.0
• Role model SunnyD safety culture and desired behaviors.
• Mentors, reinforces, and continually builds the site’s ‘Safety First’ culture.
• Owns achievement of critical measures in site HSE program
• Owns site EMRT program.
• Ensures Safety training is delivered for the site.
• Leads worksite safety analysis using the Key Element Assessment system.
• Coaches Key Element system owners on establishing and maintaining effective systems.
• Works with the Site Training Leader by ensuring safe and effective operating procedures as Safe Practices exist and are maintained/ updated for all areas of the site.
• Demonstrates high level skills in leadership and team systems for NJ Plant.
• Works in coordination with the site human resources manager to complete the site personnel annual hearing conservation testing to completion. Ensuring the health qualifications & testing of SunnyD employees is completed. Including respirator use requirements.
• Manages the safety aspects of all initiatives and projects.
• Conducts multi-cause investigations on all near misses/ property damages/ injuries/ environmental incidents. Complete an incident root cause analysis identifying corresponding counter measure(s) are put in place & completed to prevent the incident from happening again.
• Is the NJ Plant environmental contact to all site corresponding agencies for all environmental systems.
• Will establish a good working relationship with all vendors, compliance agencies, corporate contacts.
• Identifies and implements hazard prevention and control measures in all HS&E areas.
