Position: Operations Manager / Superintendent
Salary: $100,000 to $150,000 Profit Sharing / Bonuses
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager with a background in underground utilities construction to oversee and coordinate all aspects of sitework construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Requirements
- 3 years experience as a General Superintendent: demonstrated experience in a similar role and has a strong understanding of underground construction processes.
- Site Development Experience: proficiency in managing site development projects, including excavation / dewatering / drainage / water / sewer / sanitary / lift stations / fire line installations
- Ability to manage project schedules
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization as well as customers and vendors
- Clean driving record valid drivers license
- Bilingual - Spanish a plus
Core Skills Required
- Understanding of building codes, safety guidelines, and regulations addressing construction projects
- Knowledge of OSHA Safety Standards
- Strong leadership experience
- Able to effectively address worksite safety concerns and other issues with crew personnel and foremen
- Understanding of construction equipment and how it works for inspection, operation, and maintenance
- Oversee on-site construction processes for multiple crews
- Read plans and interpret specifications
- Track and verify material orders, tools, and equipment
- Maintain daily logs, records, progress photos and reports
- Maintains customer relationships to enhance the company's ability to procure projects, reduce risk, and ensure operational efficiency
